It has been an amazing Christmas. My favorite part of the whole thing has been getting in our jammies and bundling up in the truck to look at Christmas lights until Molly falls asleep :) Sometimes we also take hot chocolate and we almost always have one of Molly's stuffed dogs. All her dogs are now named "Nana" (from the dog in Peter Pan).

Molly, the kid who never sings, has learned Jingle Bells. Yes, I have video!

For Molly, this is the year of the outer space train station and ALL THE GAMES! Her favorite is Hungry Hungry Hippos. She also got a V-Smile Pocket with a few games and Littlest Pet Shop from Grammie. Granmahio got her a Scooby Do Trouble game, love that pop o matic bubble!

Tech gadgets galore for me and Brian this year. I think my favorite is a Dr Who USB hub...which I can plug my USB heated slippers into!

With the exception of the Netbook that we ordered from Dell in FRICKIN' NOVEMBER, every gift i ordered on-line has now officially made it in time for Christmas :)

Molly slept in her room last night. We've co-slept since birth, so this is a big deal for us. She slept great, but I was up most the night. She's getting to be a big girl.

Battletech Simulation Pods less than 5 minutes from my home could lead to too much frittering of my hard-hoarded money.

I remember the awesome all-nighters at the WoTC Game Center... those were some awesome times :) And now I will have a chance to take Crystal to play once or twice! How awesome!!!

All in all, I accomplished SO MUCH MORE than I had ever hoped to today! I *deserve* break, by golly!

Using this time to pay back The Fates for our awesome good fortune this year by listing lots of the "We could sell this for good money on Ebay or Craigslist" in the free section of Craigslist right now. Feelin' kinda awesome about it :)

When testing your USB Ports, be sure to try several different USB cables instead of just one with several different ports and devices.

'Cuz... 'cuz it may not be your USB Ports. It, uhm... it just might be a bad USB cable.

I'm just sayin'.

Quite suddenly and unexpectedly, all the USB 2.0 ports on the FRONT of my computer (3 of them in all) have decided that they are either 1.0 or completely inactive.

QUITE suddenly. Like, there i was just sitting at my desk wrapping presents when the "This Device Could perform Much Faster if Plugged in To A USB2.0 Port" message popped up. Checked all the connections, unplugged-re-plugged every USB cable, swapped 'em all around, gathered up all of my USB devices and tried plugging each one in...

...it's like a random table that somebody is rolling for. Roll 1d6: 1-3 = No Reaction At All. 4-5 = Act as USB1.0. 6 = Act as USB2.0 for 8 minutes, then down to USB1.0, then stop responding.

It doesn't matter what device I plug in. Some times it works, most of the time it just fails. All three ports, all completely random in their reactions (as in, one will be USB1.0 while another doesn't work at all, and then vice-versa after a reboot).

USB on the back of the PC works just fine.

Trying to update drivers now... last time I did that it crashed the system!
